The journey of three American brothers, who unite for the first time in a year, as they try to bond with each other by traveling across India via train, on The Darjeeling Limited. As they travel together, they experiment with different spiritual mediums. Their journey suddenly finds them lost in the middle of the desert with only their belongings. The three brothers are now forced to take a new path in their journey.

Starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman, The Darjeeling Limited is not in any way funny. I was expecting this to be more humorous than what it actually is. The acting isn’t impressive at all. I like most Owen Wilson movies, but this one tanked as it only made $11.9 M at the box office (that’s roughly $3M less than what Will Ferrell made in the first weekend of his movie, Semi-Pro).

The DVD features a 10 mins short-story that is to be played before the movie. It tells the love story of Jack and his girlfriend in Paris, at the Hotel Chevalier, before The Darjeeling Limited story begins. The Hotel Chevalier story doesn’t add anything to the movie as there’s barely any talking and it’s pretty much a sex scene before the movie begins.

Overall, I find The Darjeeling Limited to be a pretty lame movie. I know that other people have mixed views of this movie, but I recommend that you save your money and time and not bother with it at all.
