Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld), a young college graduate bee, is discontent with his only career choice, producing honey. One day, when Barry’s roaming around New York City and finds himself in a near death situation, Vanessa (Renee Zellweger), a florist, saves his life. As Barry continues to visit Vanessa, he discovers that humans are a major consumer of honey and decides to sue all of mankind for stealing the bees’ honey. What he doesn’t know is how this lawsuit will affect everyone.

Bee Movie is definitely not an “A” movie as there are many flaws to it. This is a funny movie, but at times Jerry Seinfeld’s jokes are very lame, boring and dry. Parents must be aware that there are some suggestive racist and sexual jokes/comments that parents would pick up right away but that their children may not. I don’t understand why the director adds this kind of stuff in a movie that is targeted to children. If they’re trying to entertain adults at the same time, it’s not possible to do so by adding these suggestive comments as you cannot completely satisfy both audiences.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some good things about Bee Movie. Children will be easily entertained with this movie as it teaches them that you must think of the consequences before you act.

Overall, Bee Movie isn’t the best nor is it the worst. Bee Movie is a movie to rent if you have kids as it will certainly entertain them for an hour and a half.
