In this third movie adapted from Dr. Seuss’ books, Horton Hears A Who is about an imaginary elephant, Horton, who comes across a speck that he believes is crying out to him for help. Suspecting that there is life on this speck, Horton is determined to help out even though those around him think that he is losing his mind.
Horton Hears A Who stars Jim Carrey as the voice of Horton and Steve Carrell as the voice of Mayor of Who-ville. The voices were very well done and funny. Without Carrey and Carrell, the movie would have been totally different as they bring a lot of the comic relief.
One thing I really like about the movie is the voice of the narrator because it sounds like an old grandfather reading the book to you as a bedtime story.
Horton Hears A Who brings forth a message of faith and perseverance. Even though you’re not able to see or feel something, it doesn’t mean that it’s not real. In the movie, this point is brought up when Horton hears a cry for help from a speck. He believes that in this speck lives a completely different life form. Although everybody around him thinks he’s a lunatic, he continues to believe so much that he’s willing to give up everything in order to save this other world.
This movie will definitely be a blockbuster as it has already grossed over $85 million in 2 weeks! I predict that Horton Hears A Who will win, or at least be nominated for, an Academy Award for Best Animation because it is the one of the best animations I’ve seen in a while.
Horton Hears A Who is guaranteed to entertain the whole family as it is funny and includes the voices of comedians Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell.

Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who is classic, i forgot how much that guy packed into such simple storylines… they didn’t add much to the original story either except for the usual Jim-Carryisms.
