By the time that you’re reading this, I am probably roaming around in New York City. I am going there for the weekend as I have been invited to two movie screenings.
Today, I will be going on a tour to see the various locations around Manhattan where your favorite movies and TV shows were filmed. On Sunday afternoon, I will be screening Miramax Films’ upcoming foreign flick, Reprise, which will release in New York and Los Angeles on May 16th, followed by openings in other cities. Following the screening, I will have a chance to speak with director Joachim Trier. Finally, on Monday morning, I will be watching Peach Arch’s film, The Babysitters, which opens in select theatres on May 9th. In the afternoon I will be attending a press junket with director David Ross and actors Katherine Waterston and John Leguizamo. I’m hopefully going to have a 1-on-1 interview with one of them, but nothing has been confirmed.
Over the weekend and early next week, I will be updating the site with images from the city, reviews from the two films and any extras that I might be able to get. In the meantime, I will publish some movie reviews from some DVDs I had the chance to view this week.
