The Indiana Jones trilogy is one of the best trilogies out there! From its style to its soundtrack, the Indiana Jones series blows away its competition. Indiana Jones has become an icon in American culture. Almost every North American has seen or heard of the films.

  • Indiana was named after George Lucas’ dog.
  • Willie (the American female vocalist in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade) was named after Steven Spielberg’s dog.
  • Short Round (the Asian boy in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade) was named after Bill and Gloria’s dog.
  • Steven Spielberg wanted Tom Selleck to play the role of Indian Jones but Tom was not able to because of his contract with CBS to act in the TV series, Magnum P.I.
  • Some scenes written for Raiders of the Lost Ark were added to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom because of the lack of film time.
  • George Lucas wanted the 2nd movie to be dark just like the 2nd one from the Star Wars trilogy.
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was originally suppose to be about a haunted house.
  • The sound from the boulder in the first movie was created by recording the sound of a station wagon rolling down a hill.
