It’s been two years since last time we saw them and now Tibby, Carmen, Bridget and Lena have just finished their first year of college. Over the past couple of years, they’ve gone through times of love, lost and change. Tibby is now at NYU taking film studies, Carmen at Yale, Bridget on a soccer scholarship at Brown, and Lena is studying fine arts. What continues to bring them together is the pair of jeans that magically fits them all, but when the jeans go missing, what will happen to the sisterhood?
The cast returns again in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, including America Ferrera (Lords of Dogtown, Under The Same Moon), Amber Tamblyn (The Ring, The Grudge 2), Alexis Bledel (Bride and Prejudic, Sin City), and Blake Lively (Accepted, Simon Says).
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is a fun movie for teen girls to see. It has everything a girl looks for in a movie. Love, drama, humor and adventure. This movie reminds me of Sex and the City, but for a much younger female audience. During Sex and the City, the cinema was packed with women and their girlfriends. There was maybe a handful of guys there, but there wasn’t too many young girls either. With The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, the age range is the complete opposite, while keeping the same gender ratio.
Compared to the prequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 gives the audience what it has been waiting for and doesn’t let them down. The new romances, hardships and friendships keep the teen girls entertained, but could the traveling pants fit the four girls for a third time?
