Prepare yourself to laugh this summer as Alliance Films releases its upcoming musical comedy. From the writers of South Park and Team America comes the comedy about a high school drama teacher (Steve Coogan) as he tries to save the department by rallying his students to create a politically incorrect sequel to Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
Hamlet 2 stars Steve Coogan (Hot Fuzz, Thunder Tropic), Catherine Keener (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Into The Wild), Amy Poehler (Baby Mama, Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who), David Arquette (The Tripper, The Slingshot) and Elisabeth Shue (Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story, Gracie). The film is set to release in selected cities on August 22, 2008, followed by a nationwide release on August 29, 2008.
