The weekend box office numbers are now in! Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black and Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder rumbled the box office with $26 million, ousting The Dark Knight from the #1 spot!. The combat comedy grossed $37 million during its five-day debut and gave Downey Jr. his second #1 film this year. Next week we will see Tropic Thunder’s Steve Coogan star in Hamlet 2, a comedy where Steve stars as a teacher who is trying to save the high school drama department from being shut down. Will Tropic Thunder be able to hold on to the top spot at the box office?
