As we’re about to embark on a journey across the country during this upcoming busy month, we just wanted to give you a little update on what we’re doing to the site and what to expect over the next month. If you’re wondering how we started this site and who’s behind it, we just published our new About Us page tonight. The page has a little bit of history of the company and website, plus a profile of the President/Founder/Editor-in-Chief. Over the next week or so, we will be publishing an Advertise page and a Press page, with our soon-to-be press release about something we’re excited about. You’ll have to come back later on this week to read the press release!
This Friday, we will going home to Halifax for the first time in 3 months, but not for long. We’ll have just enough time to unpack our luggage and then it will be time to pack (lighter) to go to the Toronto International Film Festival from Thursday September 4th to Saturday September 6th. We have some plans set up but they could change. The current plan is the following:
- Thursday September 4th
- -Screening Summit Entertainment’s action-comedy The Brothers Bloom (Releases in Oct.)
- -Red carpet Gala premiere of Warner Bros.’ action-comedy RocknRolla (Releases in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 3rd and everywhere else on Oct. 31st)
- Friday September 5th
- -Press junket with the director and members of the cast of The Brothers Bloom, including Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel Weisz and director Rian Johnson
- Saturday September 6th
- -Potential interview with either one of the cast members, director or producers from The Brothers Bloom
Once we get back from Toronto, it’s only a few days before the Atlantic Film Festival begins in Halifax. The festival runs from Thursday September 11th to Sunday September 20th. We will be updating you with more information about this festival as it rapidly approaches. This Wednesday (August 26th), the movie lineup for the festival will be unveiled at a press release and tickets will start going on sale.
After the Atlantic Film Festival, what’s next? Could it be the Vancouver International Film Festival (September 25 to October 10)? We will let you know more news about that in the near future as we wait to hear back if we will be able to attend.
