This past weekend officially started a new box office season with a dud, Bangkok Dangerous! The Lionsgate/Maple Pictures film failed expectations as it topped the weekend box office with $7.8 million rather than the over $10 million opening it was expected to do.

It’s definitely amazing that we hit an all time low this past weekend in theater revenues. Nobody really wanted to leave the house I guess. And Bangkok Dangerous definitely deserved what it got. It wasn’t a very good movie IMHO.
