Unstable Fables: Tortoise vs. Hare

Rating: Kernel

Ready, set, GO! The Jim Henson Company brings back the infamous rivalry between Tortoise and Hare in Unstable Fable: Tortoise vs. Hare, but this time they bring the children into the mix by having them join the race of the century.

Unstable Fable: Tortoise vs. Hare features the voice of Emmy Award winner Jay Leno (Ice Age 2), Danny Glover (Dreamgirls), Vivica A. Fox (Ella Enchanted), Keke Palmer (Jump In!, Akeela And The Bee) and three-time winner of Kid’s Choice Award for Best Actor, Drake Bell (Superhero Movie, “Drake and Josh”).

Unstable Fables: Tortoise vs. Hare

Lasting 76 minutes, this family animation instills the value of family over childish competition. Although it may have a good message and have some humorous situations, the storyline seems too short for its length. The film could have been easily summed up in 30 minutes or less. It is still an ok movie for kids, but parents might fall asleep while watching it for its redundance.

For those that would like to rent or buy this animation flick, Unstable Fable: Tortoise vs. Hare is now available on DVD, featuring exclusive bonus materials including a special tutorial on how to draw a character from the movie, as well as an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the animation process, voice recordings and much more.

  1. Was this one any better than The Blue Elephant?

From an adult point-of-view, it was worse!

  3. Ugh! :) That’s not good. But it’s kind of what I was afraid of when I saw the trailer for it on the Blue Elephant DVD.
