Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal SkullYou know, for an old man you ain’t bad in a fight. What are you, like 80?

-Mutt Williams

Rating: Sizzling Popcorn

He’s not 80, but the aging Harrison Ford returns as Indiana Jones in the epic adventure Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth and maybe final film in the franchise. This time around Indy is in search of the crystal skull, an ancient artifact he must return to its right place before the Soviets take control of it. Through his adventures, he meets Marion Ravenwood, his former lover from Raiders of the Lost Ark who is played by Karen Allen, and Mutt Williams, a 1950’s troublemaker who is played by Shia LaBeouf.

Although it’s not my favourite film in the Indiana Jones franchise, it is not the worst either! The film continues the story where it left off 19 years ago. The acting by the cast is well-done, but could Harrison Ford be in shape for a fifth movie? He was able to manage most of his own stunts thanks to the new technology that is available, but could he do it again? I’m not sure. The one thing I do know is that if they make a fifth film, it better not be another “X-Files” version of the franchise. I’m not too fond of the sci-fi twist to the film however it is still entertaining and worth seeing.
