TORONTO, Oct. 28, 2008 Warner Bros. Pictures latest film RocknRolla, will be released in theatres across Canada on Friday October 31, 2008.
RocknRolla made its North American debut as the opening night Special Presentation screening at the 33rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival this past September to wide acclaim.
From Guy Ritchie, the writer/director of the acclaimed films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, comes RocknRolla, a story of sex, thugs and rock n roll.
RocknRolla starring Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Chris Bridges, Jeremy Piven, Idris Elba and Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson, revisits the seedy, often offbeat landscape of modern-day London that Ritchie explored in his critically acclaimed films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.
The film is produced by Joel Silver, Guy Ritchie, Susan Downey and Steve Clark-Hall. Steve Richards and Navid McIlhargey are the executive producers, with Lauren Meek serving as associate producer. The creative team includes director of photography David Higgs; Editor James Herbert and production designer Richard Bridgland. Costumes designed by Suzie Harman.
A Dark Castle Entertainment production, RocknRolla is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
