The first awards show of the year and, according to tonight’s host, Queen Latifah, “the best awards show of the year” is now being televised on CBS. That’s right! The 35th People’s Choice Awards show, where it’s the people who vote for their favorite movie, television and music stars!
Ellen DeGeneres, filling in for Kate Hudson, presents the first award of the night, the Favorite Funny Male Star award. And the nominees are…Jim Carey (Yes, Man), Adam Sandler (Bedtime Stories) and Steve Carell (Get Smart). The Favorite Funny Male Star award goes out to…Adam Sandler!
Just before the first act of the night, Queen Latifah presents the award for Favorite Star Under 35, which goes out to Carrie Underwood.
