The Dark Knight Breaks Box Office Records

Over this past weekend, The Dark Knight broke several box office records. Early Friday morning, the film broke the midnight screenings record by bringing in $18.5M. This figure doesn't include the 3am and 6am showings. The Dark Knight also shattered the single-day opening record by generating a whooping $67M and exploded the opening weekend record, which was last set by Spider-Man 3, by bringing in $155M over the past 3 days.
